BANGKOK, June 16, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — To deepen cooperation between the two countries in business district development and innovation, the “Innovative Bangkok • Global Business Districts Exchange,” co-hosted by Beijing Central Business District (Beijing CBD) and Bangkok Pathumwan District, successfully concluded in Bangkok in the morning of June 14. Members of the Global Business Districts Innovation Club engaged in friendly exchanges with relevant government departments of Bangkok.

At the exchange event, speeches were delivered by representatives from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, Thailand, Michael Edwards—Vice Chairman of GBD Innovation Club and President & CEO of the Chicago Loop Alliance, Ittipol Ingprasarn—Director of Pathumwan District Office, Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, and representatives from Beijing CBD.

The year 2025 marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand. Since the beginning of diplomatic ties, the two countries have enjoyed ever-deepening friendship, laying a solid political foundation for cooperation between Beijing and Bangkok. On May 16 this year, Chaoyang District of Beijing and Pathumwan District of Bangkok officially signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on Friendly Exchange, becoming sister districts. This marks a new phase in bilateral district-level collaboration.

As a globally influential non-profit international organization in the field of business districts, the Global Business Districts Innovation Club is committed to building a professional business ecosystem and promoting coordinated development among business districts worldwide. In 2024, Beijing CBD was successfully elected as the new chair of the Club.

This year, the Beijing CBD Forum launched the events in Bangkok for the first time, aiming to explore collaborative development models for business districts, gather insights from diverse stakeholders, and build an efficient and open global innovation network. In the future, under the framework of GBD Innovation Club, Beijing and Bangkok, as well as Chaoyang and Pathumwan districts, will continue to work together to shape a bright future for global business districts.

In the afternoon, members visited True Digital Park 101 and the headquarters of Charoen Pokphand Group at True Tower. They visited the Witthayakit Building and attended a presentation about PMCU. Afterwards, they visited the Siam Square area.
