The pact aims to spearhead the adoption and proliferation of green energy across the Indonesian market. By the end of 2025, the two entities plan to roll out power battery systems for over 3,000 electric buses and trucks.

PT REPT BATTERO INDONESIA, REPT BATTERO’s manufacturing hub in Indonesia,will produce commercial vehicle battery systems compliant with Indonesia’s local content requirements (TKDN) after its construction. This initiative, embodying the spirit of “Indonesian Born, Global Contribution,” will fortify commercial vehicle customers and assist Indonesia in reaching its net-zero carbon emissions goal by 2060 or even ahead of schedule.
PT VKTR Teknologi Mobilitas Tbk (VKTR), Indonesia’s pioneering commercial vehicle manufacturing plant, was invested and built by the Bakrie & Brothers Group. Specializing in electric buses, as well as lightweight and heavy-duty trucks, VKTR excels in full-process manufacturing. Its capabilities cover chassis assembly, battery integration, body welding, painting, final assembly, and comprehensive vehicle testing.
In the future, centered around the vision of “green transportation, made in Indonesia,” the two companies will intensify their strategic collaboration across the industrial chain. Key areas of cooperation include, power cells, and systems. REPT BATTERO will supply VKTR with cutting-edge battery systems meeting Indonesian localization standards, while VKTR will handle the production, marketing, and promotion of electric commercial vehicles. Together, they will develop low-carbon demonstration projects in green public transportation and green mine logistics.
